Strength training centers around 4 compound movements (hip hinge, squat, pull and push) within which you can choose any free weight, machine or explosive exercise from about 60 exercises.
Cardio training builds your aerobic base with Zone 2 lower intensity sessions coupled with higher intensity Vo2Max interval sessions and all-out sprints to tap your maximum hearth rate. Instead of using confusing HR zones on your watch, cardio training is based on breathing cues to indicate you are training at the correct ventilatory threshold.
At bare minimum, you only need 1 strength training session and 120 minutes of cardio work per week to reap the benefits of a complete, balanced program.
